Sam Lerner

Managing Partner, Potomac Village Deli Catering

Sam Lerner was born and raised in Baltimore where he worked for some of Baltimore's finest delicatessens and caterers during his high school and college years. In 1975, Sam opened Olney's The Village Deli, a kosher-style delicatessen and restaurant inside the Village Pharmacy. Brisk business led to a larger storefront and a new name: Potomac Village Deli. In 1997, after years of imagining himself on the big screen, Sam sold Potomac Village Deli to pursue a career in acting. Unfortunately, after taking one look at Sam, Hollywood sent him right back to Maryland. Adam Greenberg, who bought the deli in 2002, convinced Sam to come back as managing partner. Sam lives in Rockville with his wife, Robin, of 33 years and three cats. He enjoys playing softball (as long as he can still see the ball), watching his favorite television stars Larry, Moe and Curly and his favorite movie star, Wile E. Coyote.
