Founder & President, Restaurant Zone, Inc.

Adam B. Greenberg is the founder of Restaurant Zone Inc. and managing member of Potomac Pizza, Bagels ‘n Grinds, and Hunter’s Bar and Grill.
A lifelong Marylander, Adam began his restauranteur career while still in college. In 1992, alongside his siblings, Adam opened Cone Zone, a frozen yogurt and ice cream shop. Two years they expanded with a second location in Potomac, MD, where he later acquired the original Potomac Pizza in June of 1995.

In 1999, he opened his second Potomac Pizza location in the Kentlands, incorporating his ice cream concept as well. Adam continued expanding, purchasing the Potomac Village Deli in 2002, opening Potomac Pizza Traville in 2003, Potomac Pizza Chevy Chase in 2006, Potomac Pizza College Park in 2017, and Potomac Pizza Middle River in 2020.

After over fifteen years mastering New York-style pizza, Adam set out on yet another adventure, this time determined to bring authentic New York bagels to the DC Metro area. Following extensive research into what makes a true NY bagel, he opened his first Bagels ‘n Grinds in Hanover in April 2012.

A fervent believer that the secret to a great New York bagel is in the water, Adam installed a $50,000 state-of-the-art water purification system, enhancing the texture and flavor of the bagels through introducing minerals traditionally found in New York water.

Bagels ‘n Grinds has since expanded, opening in College Park in 2017 and, most recently, in Potomac in April 2025 - connected to Adam’s first Potomac Pizza location. All locations feature a glass-enclosed water purification facility and over 16 varieties of bagels baked fresh daily. By 2018, having become an expert in fast casual, Adam was ready for a new challenge: fine dining. He opened College Park Grill (CPG), his first higher-end restaurant and bar, in the spring of 2018.

In 2023, a special opportunity arose when longtime Potomac staple Hunter’s Bar and Grill, one of Adam’s late father’s beloved spots, became available. Following the closure of CPG, Adam acquired and took over full operations of Hunter’s in September 2023. He immediately elevating ingredients, introducing modern dishes, and enhancing customer service while preserving the classic “Cheers of Potomac” atmosphere the restaurant has been known for since 1978.

Adam’s success in the restaurant industry stems from his passion for community advocacy, giving back, and employment of the power of food as a means for community building. He regularly gives back to the communities surrounding each of his restaurants - donating pizzas to hospital workers during Covid, hosting decades of fundraisers, contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars in gift cards and in-kind support to schools, essential workers, and non-profits, and even visiting schools to teach children how to make their own pizzas.

None of this would be possible without the incredible team of partners and team members who bring each of these brands to life every day. It takes a strong community to build a brand, and an extraordinary one to build multiple.
Adam’s accomplishments as a business owner would not be possible without the support of his wife, Courtney, and his three children, Amanda, Kyle, and Blake, and his grandson, Hayden.
